Every year, the collectible box is designed with the artwork of a famous Mexican artist. The 2017 Edition of Jose Cuervo's De La Familia Tequila, showcases the work of Abraham Cruzvillega.
First extra añejo tequila ever made. The Cuervo family hand selects it from their private collection, this tradition has been passed down through the generations beginning in 1795. Released in limited batches once a year. Every bottle is dated, numbered & wax sealed by hand. Only the finest blue agave hearts are hand selected after being aged for 10 to 12 years & only the most flavorful inner part is used in the making. 100% Blue Agave, aged for no less than 2 years in the Cuervo families private cellar then mixed with reserves as old as 30 years.
Dark & rich with aromas of fresh vanilla, roasted agave, & medium oak. Flavors of medium oak, agave, roasted pineapple & piloncillo sugar. Subtle notes of leather, cinnamon, pears, & red apples. Finish of the tequila is long & rich with subtle notes of more oak, vanilla & roasted apples.
