Since its first release in the 1930’s, has become the most successful & iconic brand in Bordeaux. In the 1990’s Baroness Philippine revitalized the brand by releasing a ‘reserve range’ that focused on smaller parcels in Bordeaux with superior quality fruit.
Classically styled with redcurrants, red cherry, bilberry & coffee bean on the nose. Palate is medium bodied with a touch of spice from the oak maturation & delicate red fruits deriving from the significant percentage of Merlot in the blend. Tannins are fine & sit firmly in the background allowing you to enjoy the supple elegant nature of this claret.
